Fallout 4: 10 Incredible Franchise Moments That Made Us Hardcore Fans

10. Exiting The Vault For The First Time In Fallout 3

After a very long wait, fans of the Fallout series were finally treated to another worthy entry in the franchise. But how would the new game stack up? After all, it€™s been so long since a Fallout game came out. It was made by a different company and the gameplay was completely different. It went from an isometric top-down perspective to a first person one. Understandably, there were a lot of mixed emotions in anticipation of this new release. Would it be just a rip-off of Elder Scrolls? The term €œOblivion with guns€ had been tossed around quite a lot back then. But then Fallout 3 did eventually come out and it was glorious. Some old school fans might have not been too pleased with the radical change from their beloved Fallout games of old, but the atmosphere was still there. It might not have looked like a Fallout game, but it felt like one. Right at the beginning, you are treated to a short prologue that takes place in Vault 101. You learn the basics of the game with the help of Liam Neeson, aka good ol€™ dad. The world in the vault seems idyllic but, naturally, everything goes to hell pretty quickly and you have to make your escape. There are a variety of ways you can do this but, once you make your first step into the world, you get a sensation you can€™t quite describe. You gaze upon the Wasteland for the first time and you know that your unforgettable adventure has just begun.
