Fallout 4: 10 Locations That Could Be The Next New Vegas

9. Denver, Colorado

Moving away from the sandy motif running through this list so far, but still keeping things in the west(ish) American states, why not take things to the high altitudes and rarefied atmosphere of the Rocky Mountains? Snow, yetis (or at least players looking for them), mutated bears and grizzled mountain men clad in thick furs could all make an appearance, with the city of Denver at the foot of the Rockies being the focal point of the action. Like LA, Denver too is steeped in Fallout lore, thanks to Black Isle's cancelled Fallout game, Van Buren, which was going to feature it as a location. As such, it already comes pre-packed with its fair share of factions. The city, as far as we're aware, is run by Caesar's Legion - the hard-as-nails military faction from New Vegas. They've delegated control of the area to the local Hangdogs tribe - a group of people specialised in training the hordes of wild dogs roaming Denver, which earned the city the nickname, Dog City. According to Van Buren lore, Denver is also populated by Salvagers, who live in camps high in the skeletal ruins of the city. These guys are former prisoners who tirelessly gather salvage from the city for the NCR as part of a work release program. The setting of a ruined Denver against its mountainous backdrop seems tailor-made for a Fallout game, and it'd be remiss not to let the player explore the nearby mountains, visiting ruined versions of scenic nearby towns like Aspen, Cheyenne and Boulder.
