Fallout 4: 10 Things It Did Better Than EVERY Other RPG

6. Upgraded Armour That Actually Feels Powerful

Power armour may be something that's only part of the Fallout franchise, but it got such an improvement and change in gameplay mechanics, so many other RPGs could take note.

In the old Fallout games, power armour was good. It was the best armor you could get, and would save you in many dangerous situations. However, it just felt like an armour upgrade and nothing else.

In Fallout 4, Power Armour is very different, and when you step into it you feel like a walking tank.

Bandits and feral ghouls alike will fall to your might as you stride across the wasteland until you run out of fuel. See, you need relatively rare fusion cores to power these suits. This balancing tactic means you will want to save your Power Armour for when you truly need it, or never use it and horde everything.

These suits can be altered in as many ways as the weapons can, and you can even give them a stylish paint job. Many games could learn a lot from this concept, as it always seems strange when a knight in full plate armour can be killed as easily as an archer in leather.
