Although the Fallout series started out as a far more character-focussed franchise back when Black Isle Studios were at the helm, after Bethesda took over for part three this aspect of game design and general tonality essentially went to the wayside. Sure there are memorable characters dotted throughout the lands, but there's not a whole lot that leaves a lasting impression - especially not on the level of someone like The Master; the very name of which leaves many a longtime fan weak at the knees. Plenty fans have shown their distaste for the direction Bethesda took the series, and although it's definitely developed a very sizeable fanbase along the way, tying in some older faces and reviving that older more character-focussed approach to the environment and campaign would surely be the best for everyone.
