Fallout 4: 12 Settings That Would Be Better Than Boston
10. New York City, New York
Admittedly, it's sort of an obvious suggestion, but who doesn't want to scale New York City's many skyscrapers in search of a 200 year-old box of Sugar Bombs? Certainly NYC won't offer as much rural exploration as some other settings, but with next generation hardware, we might be able to see a more open and diverse metropolis than Fallout 3's Downtown D.C. or Fallout: New Vegas' loading-screen laden strip. Seeing NYC's countless sights reimagined with typical Fallout zeal would likely make for a truly unforgettable gaming experience. Eat your heart out, pre-apocalyptic tourism. With all the races and factions that inhabit the Fallout universe, there could be no better arena for all-out urban warfare than New York City. And thanks to Central Park's sizeable strip of vegetation, players will even get some respite from the brutality of their human adversaries, albeit at the risk of running into the city's now horrifically mutated animal and plant life.
