Fallout 4: 8 Whiny ‘Fan’ Complaints That Won’t Be Addressed

6. "The New Dialogue System Sucks"

So this is a strange one; many Youtube comments and forum threads are complaining about the 'new dialogue system' - but it's not all that different. The only negative I can pick out is a stripped down amount of options when you're talking to people, but overall that's just going to produce better and more worthwhile responses anyway. Think about it; how many of you honestly asked every single one of the 5-10 lines you could start an interaction off with when talking to certain characters? Most of the time picking one then meant after they'd stopped talking you'd be presented with more options anyway, letting all that other dialogue essentially go to waste. You can chalk that up to "Well, everyone has a different experience" and it's true, but all the same Bethesda would surely rather reign in the amount of conversational paths you can go down, make them all interesting and then let you find your way. Plus, the only place Mass Effect messed up was in having elaborative options forever on the left of the dialogue wheel, with the 'good' or 'bad' options on the top and bottom respectively. Providing Bethesda throw up four choices and let you pick them with no foresight into how they're going to go down other than through phrasing alone, it should work better than ever.
