Fallout 4: 9 Ways You're Playing It Wrong

8. Take All The Junk You See

Speaking of using the power armour to stock up on all the junk you see, please, for the love of god, stock up on all the junk you see. With the crafting system in Fallout 4 what is is, Bethesda has essentially made every broken desk fan, alarm clock and screwdriver the equivalent of solid gold when it comes to the economy of the Boston Commonwealth. While you might not want to lumber yourself with all that excess (you need space for that Fat Man, of course), you can always loot until your pockets are full and then just lumber your companion with it all until you get back to one of your workbenches. Regular trips back to your base between missions to drop off your stuff is essential if you want to keep your armour and weapons up to snuff. Even then, don't just limit yourself to picking up items if you happen to come across them on missions; go out on junk-runs, spend an hour clearing out unexplored buildings and grab everything you come across. It's not the most exciting thing to do in Fallout, but paired with the exploration side of the game, can make for a satisfying distraction.
