One of the great Bethesda traditions is to release robust and relatively easy-to-use creation kits for their games a few months after release, expanding the modding communities and making it simple for pretty much any player to just jump into the tool and start tinkering. Want to build your own bespoke house and plonk it anywhere on the map, or perhaps a properly-planned settlement from a birds-eye perspective rather than the first-person? Go right ahead. Along with the DLC announcement, Bethesda said they'd be revealing more about the Fallout 4 creation kit in the coming weeks, so it's likely we'll see it released concurrently with one of the first two DLCs. What's particularly exciting about it this time round is that mods will also be supported for the PS4 and Xbox One. The kit itself probably won't come to consoles, but at the very least console players will get to enjoy the creations made on PC. With console players being able to get in on the action for the first time, a whole load more Fallout players now have good reason to get involved with the modding community, which inevitably means more inspiring and insane creations.
