It's been theorised for the better part of three years that Fallout 4 would be set in Boston, and the first trailer absolutely confirms that, showing off a number of the city's most iconic monuments and buildings, including the Bunker Hill Monument, the Paul Revere Statuem, and of course, the Massachusetts State House (which film fans might remember as appearing prominently in Martin Scorsese's The Departed). This is majorly exciting because it damn-near confirms that at least some of the game will be set in The Commonwealth, the locale mentioned frequently in previous Fallout games, and may lead to the player eventually reaching and exploring the mysterious Institute (believed to be a future version of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology). In short, if you're not just a Fallout fan but interested in the lore of this world, this is extremely promising indeed.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
