Fallout 5: 10 Biggest Items Fans NEED To See

1. Expansive And Unique DLC

Downloadable content is a pretty contentious topic these days. Primarily because it has been highjacked in the modern era to often refer to little more than purely cosmetic upgrades that cost the user an inordinate amount of money. (Looking at you Fallout 76)

During the days of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, DLC was at its best. These two games came with a combined nine expansions through DLC (not including Gun Runners Arsenal and Couriers Stash) that provided the user with legitimately unique experiences that both enhanced and developed the games that they were connected to.

What made these expansions so good was the way that they transported the player to an area completely separate from the base game. For instance, Fallout 3's Point Lookout saw The Lone Wanderer exploring the irradiated swamps of post-war Maryland.

Meanwhile, Mothership Zeta went in an entirely different direction, with the player finding themself abducted and being forced to fight their way through an Alien ship in order to return to the Capital Wasteland.

If the next title in the series can follow suit by providing the protagonist entirely new experiences within the Fallout world while utilising the improved technology yet to be seen in the next generation of gaming, players could be in for a real treat.
