Fallout 5: 10 Biggest Items Fans NEED To See
8. A Wide Variety Of Weapons
While Fallout 4's weapon system represented a giant leap forward in many respects, it also severely reduced the total number of unique weapons in-game.
Just in terms of how many unique weapons were featured, New Vegas, a game made with an 18 month development cycle and released in 2010, has more unique weapons than Fallout 4. The latter was released five years after, and had a significantly longer development time.
Sure, it's cool to add every attachment under the sun to your Pipe Rifle, but a combination weapon variety and modifications would be a great way to catapult Fallout 5 into the new era.
Also, an update to the models for the weapons would be greatly appreciated by the fanbase at large. The assault rifle in Fallout 4 is just plain ugly, especially when compared to the R91 variant featured in both 3 and New Vegas.
Hopefully, Todd Howard and the team at Bethesda can take inspiration from the past when going forward in that respect.
