Fallout 5: 10 Locations We Want To See

1. Toronto/Canada

Canada has some good history in the lore of Fallout, being an ally and then an occupied territory of the United States during the Great War.

As the war with China over Alaska escalated in 2067, the United States occupied and annexed Canada in order to secure their route into the state. This went as well as can be imagined, and the struggle against the U.S occupation forces persisted until the bombs dropped.

Seen in a post-war timeline there would still be visible elements of this resistance, from militia groups and their descendants turned to ghouls or raiders, to the visual remains of ambushes from over 200 years ago.

Canada itself would be littered with U.S checkpoints and military bases, making it a gold mine for scavengers hoping to dig up some old world tech.

Toronto in particular, or 'Ronto as I hear it, is referenced as one of the great cities of northern America alongside The Pitt, Shady Sands and the Boneyard. As a current-day power born from resistance, with a diversity of peoples and a wealth of wilderness surrounding it, Ronto could make for the core world space of another Fallout game, joining New Vegas and D.C as iconic locations.

My passion for all things Sci Fi goes back to my earliest days, when old VHS copies of Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet gripped my tiny mind with their big, noisy vehicles and terrifying puppets. I'd like to say my taste got more refined over the years, but between the Warhammer, Space Dandy and niche Star Wars EU books, perhaps it just got broader. I've enjoyed games of all calibre since I figured out that dice weren't just for eating, and have written prose ever since I was left unsupervised with some crayons next to a white wall. I got away with it by calling it "schoolwork" for as long as I could, and university helped me keep the charade going a while longer. Since my work began to get published, it's made all those long hours repainting the walls seem worth it.
