Fallout 5: 10 Locations We Want To See
2. Alaska
The primary site of conflict between the U.S and China during the Great War, Alaska was devastated first by conventional warfare and then nuclear exchange.
Both sides poured huge amounts of resources into the state, from cutting edge weapons and vehicles to fortifications and even oil rigs. If even a fraction of it survived, the Alaska of the mid 23rd century would be a dream come true for any modern faction.
From Chinese stealth technology to U.S Vertibirds and power armour, a successful expedition to Alaska could change the dynamic of power in the wasteland.
Beyond this, Alaska’s wide and rugged landscape makes for an amazing space to explore, with the potential for hidden bases deep in the mountains, wide and rolling tundra and expansive forests. The diversity of wildlife is ripe for mutation, everything from the trees to the beavers could be twisted in that distinctly Fallout way.
Yet the sheer size of the state also holds the potential to show us nature reclaiming vast swathes of land, growing over the ruined towns and outposts to create an environment that feels truly alive.
If a few intrepid vault-dwellers brought a G.E.C.K to help along the way, all the better.
