Fallout 5: 10 Locations We Want To See
6. Russia
Surprisingly The Soviet Union was the backwater of communist states during the great war, it's time as the main rival of America and the European Commonwealth long gone.
Though supplanted by China the U.S.S.R was still fully involved in the war, with nuclear devastation hurting it as much as any other nation. Its immense wilderness may have survived mostly intact, but its cities and industrial centers would be reduced to the same radioactive wasteland we see in the U.S. Both the ruins of cities, those rebuilt and in the wide, overgrown wilderness, there would be plenty of conflict to find.
With a clearly distinctive style and culture, the U.S.S.R would be another spin on the Fallout franchise that feels unique. Everything from music to building design would be something new, and once again seeing recognisable sights in states of reimagined ruin is always exciting.
The U.S.S.R’s human mutation experiments before the Great War inspired American F.E.V researchers, so we could see even more grotesquely mutated unfortunates than the Supermutants and Centaurs the U.S wasteland has to offer. Any post-war organisation with the resources to travel would be very interested in the technology and treasures littered in bunkers across the ruins of the Union.
