Fallout 5: 10 Things It Must Do Better Than 4
7. Focus On The RPG Aspects
This was Fallout 4's biggest sin in the eyes of many. Fallout 5 needs to carry forward the combat improvements started in 4, but also actually act like an RPG this time around.
Because Fallout 4 was aiming for a much wider audience, it meant the combat and base-building aspects took over the past RPG focus. Although this isn't inherently a bad thing, as Fallout 4's combat was actually much improved from previous games, it meant that Fallout 4 felt like it had lost its identity in a bid to become more popular.
Combat isn't what people go to the Fallout series for. They go to simulate a post-apocalyptic world and create a character alongside. Fallout 4 so heavily missed the mark when it came to this, that it could barely be called an RPG anymore.
Fallout 5 absolutely needs to change this. Make the focus on our character, our story and our world, rather than on the combat.
