Fallout 5: 10 Things It Must Include
4. Overhauled Karma System
In Fallout 4, the Karma System was noticeably absent. Removing the system was interesting, but to add to replayability it should be brought back. However, it needs improvement.
As it stands, you complete an action, whether good or evil, and get an associated rating. This needs to be changed in that you should only receive a rating when you are caught doing the action itself.
Fallout New Vegas’ reputation system should be incorporated, allowing players to receive not just moral ratings, but also faction ratings, signifying your standing with them as you progress through the wasteland. This also builds up replayability, as the player may play through the questline many times, changing and reforming their relationships with the factions in the wasteland.
With the combination of the different karma systems from Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4, the fans experience could be improved with the new karma system, adding player choice, role-play, and replayability.
