Fallout 5: 10 Ways To Blow Fallout 4 Out The Water

5. Multiple Wastelands To Explore

Now, it's not like the Fallout games are exactly known for their small maps. However, considering the constant desire of Fallout players to get more areas to explore, Bethesda can take this fact and increase the size of their in-game map in a unique way. Instead of the usual 'the sequel's map will be twice as big' mindset, F5 could have three or more different Wastelands to explore, with each offering its own atmosphere and enemies.

F4's Far Harbor DLC can be a good example of this, as it offered a map surrounded by water and sea creatures, as well as fishermen and harpoon-shooting citizens. The feel of Far Harbor is much different than the Commonwealth, and this is what F5's multiple Wastelands could be like. Imagine something along the lines of a typical Wasteland setting, a New Vegas setting where citizens are perhaps more well-off than others, and a third setting unlike the previous two.

Making each of these separate areas as distinct as possible would be key, because players don't want to feel like they're exploring the same landscape three times. This would offer up more variety in enemies, weapon types, and even personality types to interact with. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
