Fallout 5: 12 Things We Want To See

6. Better AI

This has never been a strong suit for the franchise, but holy hell, did it actually get worse in the most recent game or what? AI companions are supposed to help you seek out enemies and take them down, but often they prove to be more of a hindrance than anything, running blindly into enemy fire and getting themselves injured, rendering themselves useless unless you opt to spend a precious stimpak to keep them going. Then there's the clunky command mechanics for Dogmeat, which verge on infuriating because of how laughably un-intuitive they are. It makes what should be the enjoyable experience of having a buddy seem frequently quite arduous and possibly not worth the hassle. All we're asking for is an AI with more brain power than a baked potato.
