5. Establish How Integral Mods Will Be

Although it's not as immediately important as a new game announcement or the reveal of the fifth title's location, Bethesda desperately need to establish their position on mods. Sure, the PC space has always enjoyed a rich modding scene, which in many ways has allowed the developer's games to flourish even when they haven't been entirely up to snuff, but in the console world the messaging hasn't been so clear.

Already implemented as a half-step long after the fourth game (and Skyrim remastered) released for the Xbox One, whether or not mods were going to come to PS4 remained up in the air until Sony finally came around and gave them limited access to their console.

After all the build up though, neither Microsoft nor Sony's embracement of the modding community lived up to the promise that Bethesda teased in the run up to the last game's release; a real disappointment for console owners who thought they would finally receive a part of the experience they've been locked out of for years.

As a result, between consoles and their own Creation Club, Bethesda should clarify how integral mods are going to be to their next release.
