Fallout 5: 9 Huge Leaks & Rumours You Need To Know
7. It's Not In Pre-Production After All
Shortly after the release of the previous game, a rumour stemming from the Instagram post of the voice actor who played Deacon in Fallout 4 seemingly indicated that a new Fallout had already entered pre-production. The comment on social media was quickly deleted however, and in a follow-up interview the actor explained that it was simply an example of him interacting with fans in the way his character would - basically by spreading lies and winding people up.
Now his follow-up comments could have been a way to back-paddle on news that Bethesda didn't want out in the wild, but history has proved that actors in the Fallout series are rarely clued-in about what the studio is working on next.
The same thing happened before the release of the fourth game, with Three Dog's voice actor teasing a return to the franchise and hyping up the then-unannounced title. It turned out that the actor actually had nothing to do with the latest game at all, and was only using the comments as a way to petition for the character to return.
