Fallout 5: 9 Huge Leaks & Rumours You Need To Know
6. The Next Fallout Will Probably Be A Remaster
Everyone is sick of remasters, but apparently Bethesda hasn't received the memo. In fact, Skyrim has become the poster child for re-released games that nobody really asked for, hitting the Xbox One and PS4 late last year with only a few minor upgrades and updates, and soon to also release on Nintendo Switch later this year.
But while Bethesda has attempted to re-sell you the latest Elder Scrolls over and over again (this time in VR!), the studio has been surprisingly quiet on updating their older Fallout titles for modern hardware.
Last year the publisher came out on top in an arduous legal battle to get Fallout 3 taken off the blacklist and unbanned in Germany, jumping through a surprising amount of hoops for an almost decade-old game. Most people arrived at the conclusion that it was in preparation for a re-release of that third title, with Bethesda ensuring that the game would be available in the most territories possible.
A remastered Fallout 3 wouldn't set the world on fire, but if they could bundle it with New Vegas, well, they'd probably have another winner on their hands.
