3. Don't Rule Out A Fallout MMO

Although it got off to a rather shaky start, The Elder Scrolls Online and its subsequent expansions have been huge successes for Bethesda.

Consequently an MMO in the same vein for Fallout seems like a no-brainer. Reading into previous job listings that the studio has advertised it's clear that they're looking for developers to work on online and multiplayer content - and it can't only be for The Elder Scrolls.

In fact, a multiplayer Fallout is an idea that's been tried before, as an MMO based on the series, Fallout Online, was in development from the franchise's previous owner Interplay. However, after a messy lawsuit, the game was canned and the rights shifted over to Bethesda.

There's nothing stopping the company from jumping into the MMO space now, and if they're not wanting to cannibalise their property with a spin-off like New Vegas that more closely steps on their own toes, then taking the franchise into the online space could be the way to go.
