Fallout 5 Wishlist: 8 Biggest Changes That MUST Happen

7. Ditch 76's Multiplayer Influence

Fallout 5
Bethesda Softworks

It's safe to say that Fallout '76 is not a fan favourite. Alright, let's not mince words, it's a tire fire that Besthesda accidentally poured more fire on with a proposed paid subscription for a single player mode. That's right, paid single player content in an MMO. Madness.

Whilst Todd Howard has said they like to design a multiplayer component for every game they make, it'd be fair to say that it has not been well received. I'm not telling you not to play '76, but go in cautiously.

If, and this is a big if, they have to have multiplayer in Fallout, perhaps it would benefit from a co-op mode instead. The sense of isolation in Fallout is de rigueur, but perhaps the addition of support character, or being able to join another friend's world wouldn't detract too much from the experience.

Maybe just make the companions playable for a second player in your world, like a drop in/out option for a friend to aide you in your world? Just no Fallout Battle Royale, please.
