Fallout 5 Wishlist: 8 Rumours We Want To Come True
3. You Won't Hear About It Until It's Close To Releasing
If there's one guaranteed thing about Fallout 5, it's that you won't even know it exists until a few months before it comes out. That's because Bethesda are embracing shorter hype cycles for their big games, announcing them as close as possible to their intended release dates.
You can see why they'd want to shorten this duration from announcement to release too, as not only does it allow the publisher to sustain hype for a smaller, more concentrated amount of time, but also ensures that a game can avoid disappointing fans without a concrete release date in sight.
One that then gets inevitably delayed.
So while we won't know about Fallout 5 officially for a good long while yet, we can at least take comfort in the fact that once it is announced, there'll only be a small wait before we get to play it.
