10. Online Only (But You Can Play Solo)

Regardless of whether you wanted to believe it or not, Todd Howard waltzed onto the stage at Bethesda's E3 conference to finally confirm what has long been rumoured: Fallout 76 will be entirely online.

The spinoff is in fact a multiplayer game, allowing players to team up with a bunch of friends and be some of the first humans to really explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland, rebuilding society together and joining each other to battle new monsters dominating this early period of the timeline.

However, it was reiterated that you can take on the job of rebuilding society by yourself, but it's clear the game is designed with jolly cooperation in mind.

Fortunately, the title won't be a straight MMO, with Howard explaining that the multiplayer experience will be more along the lines of a "shared-world shooter", with only a dozen or so players sharing the map at any one time. That's probably the right choice, because...
