Fallout 76: 8 New Details You Need To Know

6. The Nuclear Option

Don't throw away your hazmat suit just yet. Unused nuclear ordnance left over from the Great War litters the wilds of West Virginia and, in the absence of law and order, it's ripe for abuse by any wanderer lucky enough to stumble upon a secret stash of warheads.

As per Bethesda's E3 showcase, we already know that finding and combining a series of launch codes scattered throughout the land is required to get those launch thrusters fired up, but what use does adding to the woes of an irradiated wasteland actually achieve?

First and foremost, you shouldn't go looking to launch one of these bad boys until you're a seasoned survivor. Wherever a nuke lands, the point of impact and the surrounding area will be transformed into an endgame zone packed with high-level enemies and loot to match. Essentially, you should think of them as a terraforming tool that can turn any part of Fallout 76's playable space into a gold mine of riches.

As for the opportunity for misappropriation, you won't be able to specifically target another player for an overkill, but you can target an area where a group may be. In the event that happens, you'll be given ample warning to get the hell out of dodge.
