Fallout 76: 9 Past Franchise Problems It Can Finally Fix
1. A Rewarding Progression That Feeds Everything Into Everything Else
Maybe you made a point of combing the landscape in past games out of sheer love for the Fallout mythos, but from the outset, Fallout 76 looks to be combining so many elements to form a much more driven sense of exploration.
Moving in any given direction is immediately rewarding thanks to the revamped aesthetic. Weapons, items and better gear is tucked away behind more intense combat encounters or quests - things you can make easier by grouping up or exploring factions.
Because you're new to the world, side-quests off the beaten path really matter - as do settlements.
Even the perceived threat of a given area can be toppled by co-operating, or you can move away and head off in another direction, should you be foraging solo.
Together, all of this should drastically increase the immersion of Fallout, giving us a world we want to explore, filled with meaningful rewards that all feed into one another.
