Fallout: New Vegas - 10 Things Nobody Admits It Did Better Than 3
4. Less Brotherhood Of Steel
Hey, don't get me wrong, everyone loves Fallout's Brotherhood of Steel and all. In fact, the two go hand in hand so well that if the iconic faction was left out of a game for whatever reason, then I'd be the first person to call foul and cry out for their return. But after the Brotherhood-heavy Fallout 3 (including their prominent role in many of that game's DLC packs) it was nice to see the faction take a step back for New Vegas. Unlike the through-and-through good guys of the third game, Obsidian opted to go down a different path with their spin-off, painting the group as an isolated, almost mythical organization that didn't have the conviction to use their power for the good of the people. It was a refreshing change, and their small role in the main campaign allowed the game to breathe and explore other avenues that haven't enjoyed quite as much focus in the series so far. Plus, if we didn't have a break from the Brotherhood then we wouldn't be looking forward to their return in Fallout 4 as much as we are.
