Fallout: Ranking Every Add-On From Worst To Best
11. Lonesome Road (Fallout: New Vegas)
Lonesome Road, Fallout: New Vegas' final expansion, was meant to be the conclusion to the story of Courier Six. And while it mostly succeeded in that respect, it also left something to be desired.
Firstly, while it may not be the strongest New Vegas DLC, Lonesome Road's narrative had a great sense of finality and it felt like a proper send-off. In other words, it learned from Mothership Zeta's mistake.
Second off, the story of The Divide, Ulysses, and the Courier's past is rather enthralling and the fact it had been teased in-game since New Vegas' launch just makes it all that much more emblematic.
However, while Lonesome Road's narrative is great, it also forces a backstory onto your character, which is a bit jarring for a series where you're supposed to be the one making the decisions.
Also, as cool as The Divide looks, its design really hinders exploration. And making your way through the map can be rather tedious and frustrating. (Honestly, someone at Obsidian was having a laugh with all those land mines.)
