Fallout: Ranking Every Vault From Least To Most Horrifying

10. Vault 106 - Filled With Colourless Psychoactive Drugs

Fallout Vault 112
Bethesda

What do you get when you pump an isolated Vault full of psychoactive drugs for years on end? Yep, you get Fallout 3's Vault 106, packed full of absolutely insane survivors who've been breathing in that stuff for years.

As a result, when the Lone Wanderer arrives at this Vault, it's in a pretty big state of disrepair. Even so, the psychoactive drugs are still being pumped into the Vault's atmosphere, which means that when you enter the Vault, you also get drugged too.

This is signified by the Wanderer's vision going blue, and they start to see hallucinations of their father, James as well as apparitions of the Tunnel Snakes, the bullies from Vault 101.

Interestingly, several cut hallucinations for this Vault still exist within the games' code. It was originally planned to have the Vault switch upside down, and a strange hallway where the Vault dweller would gradually shrink too. Shame they never made the final build!
