Fan-Casting The Legend Of Zelda TV Show
5. King Of Hyrule - Christopher Eccleston
Just like the Deku Tree, the King of Hyrule is a perfect opportunity to bring in a well-decorated actor to establish a sense of gravity for the series. The idea of selling a child-friendly video game adaptation is challenging, so this show would need all the help it could get. Therefore, whatever version of the Hyrule monarch made it into this hypothetical adaptation would need to be well cast.
Christopher Eccleston is a strong choice, as the respected actor has established himself as one of the world's leading stage actors. But, he's also made a considerable impact on film/tv thanks to his portrayal of Doctor Who's titular character, acting as the first incarnation of the part in the revived series.
If there's one thing Eccleston excels in, it's his ability to play stern yet warm characters. There's a harshness to him that make his performances gritty and rough, but his underlying charm always shines through, establishing how he's easily likeable and caring, despite his tough exterior.
This would be perfect for the King of Hyrule, as leading the dangerous land of Hyrule would require someone grizzled and proud who can still act as a caring leader/father.
