Any story is only as good as its villain, and The Legend of Zelda has already established its big bad plenty of times. Ganon - also known as Ganondorf - is a video game icon, thanks to his memorable design, massive stature and array of strength. Making your way to this final boss is always tough, and he's always an intimidating figure in every incarnation.

Thanks to the highly beast-like and non-human appearance of the antagonist, it would make sense to create him through motion-capture. So who better to go for than the king of mo-cap himself?

Andy Serkis - best known for his roles in franchises like Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars and the MCU - is a fantastic actor who excels at playing truly transformative parts thanks to his physical skills and gripping characterisation.

Even without his mo-cap credentials, Serkis is still an outstanding choice, as his demanding vocal performances are truly intimidating, and he's fantastic at playing scary characters.

However, he's also great at bringing fun into his more serious roles, as shown in his MCU role of Ulysses Klaue. This would be perfect for Ganon, as he could make him terrifying yet nuanced.
