Far Cry 5: 5 Things We Learned From E3 2017
1. Does Killing The Father Get To The Root Of The Problem?
Far Cry 3 and 4 were great in presenting complex issues with a really strong ending. Instead of following the simple formula of solving all of the problems with killing the main antagonist, the games showed that he was just the symptom, not the cause of the problems in his community.
Hope County, Montana seems really dependent on the Father. He seems the one in charge of his cult, as evidenced in the trailer when he forces a group of guys with guns to listen to him sing in a church. It seems that he has the final say here.
The overuse of the word "seem" is intentional, because it'll be really interesting to see what's behind this presumed madman. Why do people listen to him? Is he really that powerful?
Can't wait to find out.
