What Your Favourite Final Fantasy Game Says About You

5. Final Fantasy X/X-2

Final Fantasy X Although they are really drastically different, both games take place in the same universe and are as such grouped together for ease of use. Final Fantasy X was a defining moment for the series. The first fully voice-acted title in the franchise, this game moved away from series tropes such as the world map and delivered a slightly more linear experience that saw a group of extremely likeable chums taking on a mysterious entity. It got bogged down a bit in nonsense towards the end and had the crappest final villain in series history, but it was still a damn good time. X-2 was the first official sequel to a Final Fantasy title. Completely forgoing the tense atmosphere of the original, this one focused on camp, an all-female cast and brought an interesting new take on the traditional job system to the market. This one tore many apart inside - many who loved X hated X-2, while many, like me, enjoyed its care-free attitude. So what does this say about you? If you loved X, you're probably not alone. You loved the new active time battle system, the voice acting and staring at Rikku or Tidus. You're even prepared to forgive the absolutely apalling scene where Tidus and Yuna have a bit of a giggle. I cringe just thinking about it. If you love X-2, you're a crazy free spirit who loves a non-serious romp through a massive adventure. You embraced the camp, love Yuna's silly run and cared greatly about reuniting Tidus with Yuna. But seriously, that laughing scene. *shudders* Look out for it when the Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remakes finally come out!

4. Final Fantasy XI

Final Fantasy XI Wait, people loved this one? Hang on, I'll just check. Yes, my apparently it was the most profitable game in Final Fantasy history. Who'd have thunk it? Of course, subscription fees always help. Obviously if you like this one, you were looking for something different. The first time the series went full MMO, XI is different from every other Final Fantasy in the series so far. You're a person who loves to customise. Whereas other Final Fantasy give you pre-rendered avatars, XI lets you craft your own hero from a whole host of different races and forge your own path through typical MMO quests.
