2. Improper Cup Names
First of all, I am aware of the legal issues here, but there's nothing that does my head in more than having to go through a whole campaign playing in improperly-titled cup competitions like the "Champions Cup" and "World Championships". We know what's implied here. Obviously, these are imitations of the "Champions League" and "World Cup", two fantastic competitions that are completely cheapened in FIFA games by these ludicrous names. These comical name substitutions completely undermine the realism of a game that prides itself on authenticity. Sadly, Konami and Pro Evolution Soccer have the licencing rights to the "Champions League" but perhaps one day, EA will wrestle it off them. We can only hope. In the meantime, I wouldn't mind if EA scrapped the Champions League mode altogether until it can be given its proper title. They say imitation is the biggest form of flattery but in this instance it most certainly is not.
