2. Finesse Headers Are In
Headers are just another way you can score a goal in the FIFA series and they've been drastically improved this time round. Anyone who is a fan of the beautiful game will know the sheer feeling of delight one gets when connecting with a team-mate's brilliantly executed curling cross and using our neck muscles to latch onto the ball with our foreheads to crash home a thunderous header past the despairing dive of the goalkeeper, but in FIFA 14, scoring from a header is going to become more of an art form. Now, players are going to be able to score from "finesse headers", a feature that has never before been seen or used in any football game currently on the market. But what the heck is a "finesse header"? In FIFA 14, instead of just thumping in a header from close range, players are going to be able to delicately flick the ball on with their bonce and subtly deflect it past the goalkeeper, leaving him rooted to the spot wondering what the hell had just happened as we tail away into our celebrations. "Finesse shots" have been used in the FIFA series before. In the past, players have been able to press R1 on the PlayStation controller to send in a curled shot, and now, this feature is going to extend to headers, too, which is something we're very excited about.
