2. FIFA Has The World Cup
Staying with career mode for a second - FIFA also allows the player to take part in the World Cup and European Championships - even the Confederations Cup - abilities not afforded to PES players. This summer saw the Confederations Cup take place - won by Brazil - and I have to say, being able to play this out on FIFA during career mode felt pretty special. Then of course FIFA has the ability to release specially-made games outside of the main cannon with their World Cup 2010: South Africa and UEFA Euro 2012 titles. With a World Cup year coming up, it is important to me, a gamer, to be able to play a visualised version of this and relive the excitement of the spectacle in my own way - namely by winning the tournament with England. PES doesn't allow you to do this, and with Brazil hosting the world's most famous of competitions in just 12 months, they're going to be seriously left behind again as the tournament - and EA - passes them by. Next year, EA will release FIFA World Cup 2014 as well as FIFA 15 while PES will only just be taking their product to next generation consoles.
