FIFA 15: 15 Ratings EA Sports Have Got Completely Wrong

12. Xabi Alonso (84)

Sometimes a player rating can appear inconspicuous until compared to that of a peer, and that is certainly true of Xabi Alonso. The former Real Madrid star has been awarded an apparently-generous score of 84 in FIFA 15, despite the fact neither he, Real or Spain enjoyed a particularly good 12 months. Alonso struggled to get in the team at the Bernabeu at times in 2013-14, making only 26 league appearances, of which he played 18 full games. Real meanwhile finished third in La Liga while Spain were unceremoniously knocked out of the World Cup at the group stages after just three games, losing two. And you have to ask yourself, is Alonso really the 48th best player in the world today? His score of 84 sends him into EA's top 50-rated players' category and makes him just as good as Italy legend Andrea Pirlo, apparently, which really does put things into perspective. Frankly, we can't understand EA's reasoning behind this rating.
