FIFA 16: 10 Big Things You Need To Know From E3

9. Goalkeepers Actually Work

Hallelujah! It's happened. It's finally, finally happened. EA have addressed the farcical goalkeeping system, meaning that users won't have to throw their controllers at virtual versions of Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon and David De Gea as they stand still and watch simple shots trickle past them. EA tried to rebuild the goalkeeping system, but unfortunately that just led to the men between the sticks making horror mistakes on a regular basis, with long shots leaving them rooted, and finesse shots sliding under them like they're not even there. The keepers have been tweaked to provide a better balance, meaning that while they will occasionally spill the ball, it will be much less frequent than on FIFA 15, and closer to real life.
