FIFA 17: 10 Tips To Play Like A God

8. Practise Penalties!

The key to penalties is, of course, practise, but this year's edition may take a little more dedication than usual. For whatever reason, despite having a pretty perfect penalty system over the previous few instalments, EA have decided to revamp the set piece and make it a little more complex.

The new method involves a variable run-up, as well as the ability to change the intended direction of your shot at the last second. At first this can feel a little manic, so make sure to practice until you feel comfortable. Another big change is that the height of the shot is no longer dictated by the direction of the analog stick, but rather the power bar. As a rule of thumb, try to aim for just over one bar for a low penalty, and just over two for a high one.
