FIFA 17: 5 Reasons We Need A Sequel To The Journey
3. Alex Hunter, Abroad
EA was obviously testing the waters with the Journey, as a story mode in a football game is still a relatively new concept. It is understandable then that the choice of clubs was limited to the Premier League.
This being said, should the Journey return with a second instalment, seeing Alex Hunter play football abroad is an absolute must. Imagine being able to move to Barcelona or Madrid to see Alex ply his trade... Not only would it good to play with the best players in the world, it would also allow the story to develop in many different ways.
Will he get game time? Will he fit in? Will he get a girlfriend? Will he learn to speak Spanish...?
Also, the Champions League inclusion (licencing permitting obviously) would add another level entirely - the European prize being the highest club honour available. All in all, a move abroad would open up the universe of The Journey and allow the player to go whatever way he wants.
