FIFA 17: 8 Things EA Still Can't Get Right
6. Fixture Congestion
Fixture congestion has become more of an issue in real-life football over the past few years, with managers like Arsene Wenger criticising the amount of games teams have to play and the lack of a winter break in the English game. This is an issue fans of FIFA know all too well, as players have been stuck with horrific fixture scheduling in their careers modes for years, with FIFA 17 being no exception.
Once again, players are facing two, even three games in one week. It may not seem that big a deal, but if you are playing as a smaller club with a limited squad, having to play too many games back-to-back (most often a league game then cup tie a day or two later) usually means you’re almost guaranteed to lose one of them due to player fatigue, which can ruin a season objective and can ultimately impact your entire career.
If real-life football associations can manage to get their fixture schedules right, surely EA can figure out how to do it as well?
