FIFA 17: 8 Things EA Still Can't Get Right
4. Player Demands In Career Mode
As the years have gone by, FIFA has tried to make the game as similar to real-life as possible, including the transfer market. Gone are the days you could just bring Nedved to Blackburn because you had the money. Just like in real life, the top players will only come to your team if you match their level. And just like in real life, if a player starts playing well for a small team, it’s inevitable that they will get snapped up by a top club. However, applying this to FIFA’s Career Mode is still something EA are struggling with.
As always, gamers are getting stuck with average players demanding transfers because they’ve gotten ‘too big for the club’, only to see them end up at a team lower than them in the league. Other fans have shared stories of Neymar demanding almost €1 million a week to stay at Barcelona.
It’s great that EA have tried to incorporate this type of challenge into the game so you can’t just breeze through with an unstoppable dream team, but these issues have been happening for years without being sorted.
