FIFA 18: 10 Improvements We Want To See In Career Mode

3. Better Financial Incentives

Winning the Champions League is a dream for every football club. The financial gain that comes from lifting that famous old trophy leads to better players joining the following Summer, squad bonuses a-go-go and clubs sniffing around the winning team with a view to securing such success themselves.

FIFA 17 does get cup winnings right, if nothing else. Win the Premier League Title and Champions League in the same season to experience maximum profit, then snigger as you plan Summer transfer window buys that will turn your machine-like European champs into a force to be reckoned with the next season.

Quickly, that merriment turns to despair when the board decide to swallow up the winnings and leave a pittance to spend. That's unrealistic. Why would the board remove your £100 million transfer kitty in favour of dishing out just £20 million come pre-season?

What's the point in winning the biggest competitions when the prize money is stripped away for no apparent reason?
