FIFA 18: 7 Players Who Can’t Be Happy With Their Rating
3. Antoine Griezmann
We'd suggest Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho knows a bit about top class strikers. The moody Portuguese manager didn't win the truckload of trophies he has by not knowing the difference between Didier Drogba and Afonso Alves. There's a reason Mourinho wanted Antoine Griezmann during the last window. The Frenchman is one of the world's best strikers.
His 88 rating in FIFA 18 is high, but it's weird to see someone like Griezmann rank 20th in the Top 100 when he was in the mix for the prestigious Balloon d'Or last year. Finishing third behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi (there's no shame in that), the Atlético Madrid also played a huge part in shooting France to the final of Euro 2016.
On top of that, he scored 26 goals for Atlético in season 2016-2017. Somehow, that wasn't enough to make him one of the elite who could boast a 90+ rating. As good as Gonzalo Higuaín and Robert Lewandowski undoubtedly are, did they really do anything to warrant a 2 and 3 point lead respectively over Griezmann in FIFA 18?
Minor grumble, yes, but still a valid one.
