FIFA 19: 10 Things EA Should Steal From PES

9. In-Tunnel Cut Scenes

PES 2018
Konami

The majesty those steep tiers of eager-eyed fans create contrasts vividly with the tight, almost suffocating presence of PES 2018's in-tunnel opening scenes.

Perfectly reproduced stadiums are few and far between in PES, certainly compared to FIFA's embarrassment of riches in that field, and yet the ones Konami do have are better realised. Anfield, Signal Iduna Park and the aforementioned Camp Nou all reek of history and importance. That's never more true than when players line up in the tunnel.

It wouldn't take much for EA to (ahem) borrow this idea from their rivals. Watch Premier League footy on Sky Sports, a package FIFA tries so hard to reproduce in-game, and you'll often see inside the building before teams emerge anyway.

Add that congested anticipation to the setting off of flares and stadium scale, and FIFA 19 could be special before a ball is even kicked.
