FIFA 19: 7 New Additions You Need To Know
2. Secret Goal Kicks
Quickly analyse the picture attached to this entry and a feeling of familiar dread may grip your body.
PSG stopper Kevin Trapp is about to attempt a simple pass to the ever-reliable Thiago Silva. Just as he does, Man Utd's Romelu Lukaku will sprint to his right, intercept his attempt and nudge the ball past him into the net for an easy goal. That short pass, a humble attempt to play out from the back, was easy to read, right?
Not anymore. In FIFA 19, the camera won't give away exactly where keepers are about to play the ball, and neither will their positioning. Previously, the cam would swing left or right to follow their movements, but EA have taken that pesky panning out of the game so even human opponents won't know what your goalie is up to.
That, in theory, means no more cheap goals from goal kicks, and it should make playing like one of Europe's elite a little easier. All going well in FIFA 19, you won't have to punt the ball long just because a rival is playing a high press.
That's a simple, yet logical, change.
