4. Dynamic Weather Is For Real This Time
Regrettably, EA got ahead of themselves in the build towards FIFA 18's release and bragged about how dynamic weather would dramatically alter how some matches played out. Then, when the hit shelves, players began to notice it was missing. Meanwhile, Konami managed to successfully implement changing weather patterns in PES.
Whoops.
Not to worry though, because dynamic weather will (finally) become a key feature in FIFA 19. This will hopefully also give tactics greater purpose in EA's franchise; FIFA has been lagging behind PES in that department for years now, and it's vital that EA start catching up on Konami's depth of gameplay.
Dynamic weather is something EA can hang their hat on as a key gameplay change. Shifting elements that organically alter as matches are in progress sounds rather exciting, should freshen up the winter months of Career Mode and impact how the better players in the game control.
