FIFA 21: 10 Reasons To Be Worried

1. It'll Be Just Another Re-Skin

Groundhog Day, perhaps?

The FIFA series has become a force of habit for some gamers rather than a calculated purchase. It's like millions of people say, 'Oh, it's that time of the year again' and dip into their accounts to stump up more cash for EA's plump coffers. That, unfortunately, isn't telling the company that they need to be revolutionary.

FIFA 21 will in all likelihood be a slightly-tweaked version of FIFA 20 only with all the latest kits from the 2020-2021 season. For all the criticism EA's Legacy editions get on old hardware (and, annoyingly, Nintendo Switch), they're not actually a million miles away from the newer ones. This company love a cheeky little re-skin there too.

It's the annual release way, and EA aren't the only developers guilty of this. 2K pretty much do the same, and gamers put up with it. If that subtle update style doesn't please you, then start writing FIFA 21 off right now. It's bound to be a rinse and repeat effort with some added dressing to fool as many punters as possible.
