FIFA 21: 8 Reasons To Give Career Mode A Chance
3. AI Managers Are Smarter
AI managers aren't quite the thickos they have been in recent entries.
Though there are definitely still workarounds and ways to manipulate opposition bosses that you'll learn the more you play, they don't seem as prevalent. EA has done a nice job of ensuring that rival clubs aren't only there to bow to your whims or furnish your squad with their talent without a healthy return.
Don't be shocked if you try to buy a player and someone like Sean Dyche suggests you stick in a hefty sell-on clause or a peripheral member of your team sheet into the bargain. The next natural step to this system is that EA give each individual manager their own characteristics. That doesn't seem to be the case in FIFA 21, but it's still a robust suite.
Before launching a Career, you're also able to decide how strict negotiations will be. For a more authentic experience, go for the harder setting. That ensures rivals won’t be interested in doing business, players won’t be interested to move to a lower ranked league (or if they have the 'One Club Player' trait) and you won’t be able to approach players that have been signed to a club for less than a year.
